The Growth Calculator runs on Sun Microsystems' Java which is an object-oriented programming language for adding animation and other action to Web sites. The applications (called applets) that Java creates can play back on any graphical system that's Web-ready, but your Web browser has to be Java-compatible for you to see it.

The applet could not load because of either of the following two reasons:

  1. Your browser does not support Java.
  2. Your browser supports Java, but does not have Java turned on.

If your browser does not support Java, you will need to download and install a Java-compatible browser.
