Mutual Funds
With certain types of mutual funds, you can receive income from your investments while still allowing them the opportunity for capital growth.

Fidelity Income Replacement Funds

Income Replacement Funds combine professional investment management with a defined withdrawal strategy that seeks to convert your retirement savings into monthly payments, whether your income needs are shorter- or longer-term.

Fixed Income Funds

Fixed income funds make investments in municipal, taxable, and high-yield bonds, typically seeking to provide a high level of income, often with the potential for capital gain.

Money Market Funds

Money Market Funds can offer stability, liquidity and diversification to any portfolio. For those in higher tax brackets, municipal money market funds can provide federal and often state tax-free income - sometimes also free from exposure to the federal Alternative Minimum Tax.

Hybrid and Specialized Funds

Investing in assets such as bonds, dividend-paying stocks, and real estate in place of or in addition to equities, these funds seek income and continued capital growth.

Systematic Withdrawal Plan

A systematic withdrawal plan is a way to receive a stream of income from your savings by taking regular withdrawals from a diversified mix of investments.

An investment in a money market fund is not insured or guaranteed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or any other government agency. Although the fund seeks to preserve the value of your investment at $1.00 per share, it is possible to lose money by investing in the fund.

  1. Other fees and expenses applicable to continued investment are described in the fund's current prospectus.
  2. Highly rated funds are defined as those funds that have a 4- or 5- star Morningstar rating. For each fund with at least a three-year history, Morningstar calculates a Morningstar Rating (based on a Morningstar Risk-Adjusted Return measure that accounts for variation in a fund's monthly performance including the effects of sales charges, loads and redemption fees), placing more emphasis on downward variations and rewarding consistent performance. The top 10% of funds in each category receive 5 stars, the next 22.5% receive 4 stars, the next 35% receive 3 stars, the next 22.5% receive 2 stars and the bottom 10% receive 1 star.
