FAQs

What is Twitter?

Twitter is the name of a company that provides a free online service, which lets users send and read short messages known as tweets. A tweet is limited to a maximum of 140 characters and can contain text and links. For more information about Twitter, please see www.twitter.com. Fidelity's Twitter page can be found at www.twitter.com/fidelity.

Why is Fidelity on Twitter?

Our Twitter site complements our longstanding online presence on Fidelity.com. It offers investors a new communications channel to share information and also provides an additional way for investors to access the education, information, support and news they need to manage their financial lives. We encourage you to follow us on Twitter and we look forward to receiving your thoughts and comments about this new forum.

What type of communications can I expect from Fidelity on Twitter?

We plan to post our own tweets with educational information and news for investors. We will also respond to tweets we receive. In our responses, we may redirect inquiries to other communications channels, such as phone or e-mail, which offer an opportunity to have more detailed communications than is possible within Twitter's 140-character limit.

Will I be able to trade or do any transactions through Twitter?

No. All trades and other financial transactions need to be completed through our other customer channels, including Fidelity.com and 1-800-FIDELITY. Please remember, for your own security, you should never communicate any personal or account information using Twitter.
