Why did Fidelity decide to change FAST? We've listened to our customer's requests for features and functions to make the automated system more natural to use and better integrated with Fidelity.com. We think you will like the added functionality. The new system includes speech recognition options; can I still use my phone's keypad? You can use a keypad or speech recognition interchangeably for any FAST option. For example, to protect your privacy in a public place, use your phone's keypad to log in. Then, say "Stock Quotes" and the company name instead of entering the quote symbol, and jump right to the stock quote menu, saving you time in getting to the information you need. How do I get quote information like the bid/ask price, volume, or 52-week high/low for securities, 7 day yield for Money Markets or 30 day yield for bond funds? Say "More Details" at any time during or after a quote to get this information. See Navigational Tips for more information on using FAST. I am getting delayed quotes in FAST. Can I get real time quotes? Yes, FAST will provide real time quotes to users who have read and accepted the terms of the real time quotes subscriber agreement. My account balance doesn't update until the next day. How can I get the balance of my mutual fund holdings on the same day? Balances for individual mutual fund positions can be obtained from the Account Information menu after the market close. Say "Positions" or press 3 then 2 at the main menu. Closing prices for all Fidelity mutual funds occur at the same time as before, but to more closely align FAST with the web and representative-assisted calls, your total account balance information updates overnight. The system is too fast. I can't keep up. How can I hear information again? Use commands such as "Repeat" or "Go Back" to hear information again. Press 4 to hear the previous item. You can also say "Main Menu" or press *6 to hear the menu options again. See Navigational Tips for more information on using FAST. The system is too slow for me. Can I skip ahead? You do not need to listen all the way through a prompt. If you know what you want to do, you can enter a command at any time to skip ahead and take action. How do I add or delete a Watch List? To add or delete a Watch List, say "Other Services" and "Watch List". While listening to the list, say "Add a watch list" or "Delete a watch list. "You can also press 5 (Other Services), 1 (Watch Lists) then 2 (add) or 3 (delete). See Navigational Tips for more information on using FAST. How do I add or delete quotes within a Watch List? To add a quote to a Watch List, choose the kind of quote you want, for example, say "Stock Quotes" at the main menu or press 1, then 1. After hearing the quote, say "Add to Watch List." To delete a quote from a list, access your Watch List by saying "Watch List Quotes" or press 1 then 4 at the Main Menu. Then say "Remove from Watch List" when you hear the quote you want to remove. Just say "Watch List" or press 1 then 4 when you log in. The Watch Lists you create and maintain on Fidelity.com are now available and updated on FAST.
